I'm not entirely sure on this but I heard that they had him play safety and he only had 1 tackle. Apparently his name wasn't called much which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing at safety but I didn't actually get to catch the game so this hearsay is the best I can offer.

Well, yeah but he doesn't have the speed because he's too big.

OSU LB Grant one to watch in NFL draft By Carlos "Big C" Holmes Staff Writer Tuesday, February 05, 2008 Ohio State LB Larry Grant played in the shadow of linebackers Marcus Freeman and James Laurinaitis while playing for the Buckeyes last season, but now the often overlooked linebacker is ready to emerge and grab some spotlight of his own at the NFL Combine this month. Grant said. ?I don?t have a preference to the type of defense I would play in. I just want to play. I?m a very humble, hard-working, person and I want to continue to be that way. I feel like it?s going to take a lot of hard work and I?m willing to make that sacrifice.? Cont... |

Congrats to Larry on the birth of his son.
But I guess it's a little too early for the Isaiah Grant '26 thread in the recruiting forum. ![]() |

I think Grant would be a good fit for Indy. They don't mind a little bit smaller backers on the weakside in the 4-3. Congrats on the kid.

Not a bad ranking for Larry at all. He's come along way... Quote:

What did he weight in at? 4.7 is pretty disappointing.
