Larry Grant
San Francisco (CA) City College of San Francisco CC ![]() Scout Profile Height: 6'3" Weight: 225 Speed: 4.4 Alright, Grant is a Gator commit, but in a recent Rivals$ article he talks of a math exam that all SEC teams require (only the SEC does this) and if he does not reeceive a sufficient score he won't be able to go to UF. Later he says that "Ohio State and Texas A&M can take me right now". Seems like one to keep and eye on . He would come in as a Junior and have 2 years of eligability left. |

He has nice measurables obviously, but I dont think he will be a target of this class. Especially with all the LBs already in this class.

But, if McCarthy falls through, and Gibson redshirts to get bigger (as he has said is definitely an option).... Grant would be really nice...

I will be VERY surprised if JT picks up a JUCO player...

With that size and speed, he could be a killer safety ala Sean Taylor...

Nevada has hinted about a potential DB surprise down the stretch... not sure if that would apply here or not.

Not saying that Larry isn't a legit 4.4, because I have no clue, but has anyone noticed that if a kid goes to JUCO or Prep school that his reported 40 time usually drops like 2-3 tenths from their Sr. year in high school? Just a general observation...

Where ever this kid plays, he looks like he'll shine. I wonder if our staff has even looked at him...

Although I am unaware of the mutual interest from either side... there may be some movement with Larry.
On Wednesday, Larry received word that he failed his math exam. All SEC schools (and only SEC schools) require an extra math credit that Larry doesn't have. So, he still claims he wants to be a Gator, but also says that he may visit Ohio State. One to keep and eye on. |

Well, he statement in the article, "Ohio State and Texas A&M can take me right now", sure suggests he'd commit if offered.

I'd assume that if he can't pass that test, then he would have a difficult time getting past our admissons. I maybe wrong though
