Taosman,
Ironically, Tank(s) is also the name of the pro football team in Ironton, Ohio that played in the 1930-1940 era. So, I vote that as his nickname too!

Well the Ironton Tanks were long gone by the 40's. More like 1920/30's. But I'm impressed you knew of the Tanks, you know your football history. Anyway Tyler "Tank" Whaley is around 6' tall. Thats not a stretch. He is definately not 5'8". You could give him a inch in cleats I guess. Either way he is one fine ball player. Ironton High football coach Bob Lutz has said before that Tank would have been heavily recruited if he were a bit taller. By the way, Tyler has had the nickname Tank for as long as I can remember so its really nothing new. Good luck Tank!!!!!!!!

You guys still think he's not 5'8?

"You know you have to get extra low to play against Tyler since he's about 5-7. I know that gives some guys some problems," (David) Patterson said.

Check out the picture. If Robbie is his supposed 6'6'', there's no freakin way Whaley is 11 (!) inches shorter than he is. Not a chance.

You think it's a foot from the top of the facemask to the top of the helmet?
