Thats what jocks do. Suck it up , play with pain, Be a MAN! They challenge you to excel in integrity, heart, manhood, toughness, leadership and if you don't show these qualities then you are a pussy. Jock law 101

Do players from the same school belittle each other on National TV. Actually read my post. I don't care if herbie calls him a pussy but be a man and do it face to face and not on TV. THATS THE PROBLEM I HAVE. Herbie can go on campus and talk to wells. Singling Wells out about his ankle when he doesn't know [censored] about the situation is wrong as well. Let Tressel coach, the sports medicine guy do their thing, and let kirk Herbstreit embarrass himself with his has assed predictions.

Hmmmmm..... so, let me get this straight.... if Herbie says that Steve Breaston is worthless in the Michigan offense, he's simply making a correct observation and other people are taking it all out of context and blowing it up. But, if Herbie says the Beanie has to play with pain (and if you're listening this comment by Herbie should be nothing of a surprise, since it's been all over talk radio all week) all of a sudden, he's a Buckeye basher, bla bla bla...
People amaze me. If you can't deal with Herbie's insights on Game day, watch something else. |

Herbie is 100 % Buckeye underneath his ESPN personna.

Yeah he is.. you can usually spot him on the sidelines in Big Games for the Bucks. You can see him cheering and when the other team makes a play cursing up a storm.

After all the talk about Herbie recently I made a special effort to listen to him tonight. Not just what he said and how he said it, including the tone and inflections he used.
I don't know what any of he rest of you heard but all I heard was pride in, and joy about how the Bucks were playing. This during the whole first half. Anything else he said was very objective. So all I can say now is that if you don't like what Herbie has to say then just take a hike, He is all Buckeye. |

I had more of a problem with the fact that he was wearing a blue shirt with a maize and blue tie while announcing the game. I'd rather walk around with dog crap on me than wear those colors. Come on Herbie!

Shy TV host Herbstreit masters bright lights Herbstreit's passion for college football drives former Ohio State QB's success at ESPN's College GameDay Sunday, November 04, 2007Mary Schmitt Boyer Plain Dealer Reporter Judy Herbstreit has a favorite photograph of her youngest child, Kirk. It shows a toddler, just able to stand, wearing an Ohio State football jersey and sucking on a pacifier. His little left hand is resting on the right side of his chest. It was snapped when an Ohio State football game came on TV. At the sound of the Star Spangled Banner, the little boy popped up and tried to imitate what he saw on the screen. That was the first time Judy Herbstreit saw the power sports and television had over her normally quiet son. Cont... |
