10/13/06 By Brian Snow...Wallace orginally committed to Virginia but re-opened his recruitment. His father now says OSU and Louisville are ahead of Virginia and Florida. He will be making an official visit to OSU next weekend, currently his only official scheduled. |

His Rivals and Scout bios indicate offers from Virginia, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, Wake Forest, Florida, UConn and Baylor. I am assuming he has an offer from OSU as well, but until we get confirmation, I am not going to post the OFFICIAL OFFER. I will leave that up to OBJ.
He is originally from Kernersville, N.C. Rate the #27 SF and #103 player overall by Rivals (3-stars). Rated the #23 SF and #95 player overall by Scout (4-stars). |

7/13/2005 5-star dunks from the class of 2007...O.J Mayo, Derrick Rose, Bill Walker, Eric Wallace and Leonard Washington are featured. Before heading to Hargrave, Eric was rated a 5-star SF coming out of HS... |

I don't know 40...I just watched this kid's film and he doesn't look like much of a project to me...he seems like a heck of a swingman at 6-7. Like the a more polished and better built Ivan Harris coming out of Hargrave. His jumper is an area most seem to agree needs a little more refinement, but his athleticism is scary. I don't know what this signifies as far as early departures are concerned, but I don't think it has anything to do with who we might or might not be getting in 2008, although you and OBJ would certainly know better than I would.

My question is what size is he? Scout has him at 6-5 220 and Rivals has him at 6-7 195. Those are almost two completely different body types.

After watching his rivals video I agree with you. I had looked at his scout video and it was only 40 seconds and hard to make any judgements. If there is an offer I have no problems with it and what is the saying 1 in the hand... His jumper doesnt look that bad and he would be a great fit to play the 3 and let Diebler/Lighty play the 2. BTW his dunks are freakin' awesome. |

Wallace has been kept low on the radar until today....I haven't heard anything solid on him yet. Its obvious at this point that the staff is looking for another player in the 2007 class. I think Wallace may have fell in their laps so to speak.....the staff pursuing him may just be perfect timing just my opinion. The fact he is making an official visit would seem to indicate he has an offer but lets hold off for confirmation... |

Virginia has told Wallace they are no longer recruiting him. Article mentions a new offer from Ohio State which he is scheduled to make an official visit to this coming weekend. |

Check out this video of Wallace guys. The guy has amazing athletic ability for sure. (He is the guy in the white/gray shirt and black shorts in the dunk portion). All I can say is wow!
