The QB is probally not the problem but I wouldnt start either one. Both had Fumbles. Heck put in Beckmen oranyone just to make a point that fumbles are unexceptable.

what troy did today in garbage time proved very little. what he may or may not do against indiana will also prove very little. until penn state comes to town it is back to basics for the entire team. sadly it is basically training camp all over again for the team. too bad we can't put them through two a days this next week or two.

smith does throw a much prettier ball than zwick, always has always will.

Let me tell you something how can you come out and bust Smith for going 8-12 and NO INT's? You're a sorry excuse for a buckeye fan ..... For god sakes he only got to play late 3rd and all the 4th!!!! Along with that and we just seemed to Hand the ball off pretty much through the early 4th!! Give this kid a break! Yeah Smith came out and said something bout him not playing but jesus wouldn't you do the same if you wanted to freak'n play and you were told that you were just as good? Oh not to mention the starting QB Zwick has been struggling??? You just expect this kid to stand back and say the hell with me starting and I'll just be a damn coach for the next 3 years? You wanna talk about a botched handoff to freak'n Lydel Ross? who's to say that Ross wasn't the one who was wrong? Smith atleast holds on to the ball if you wanna say something about Zwick/Smith comparison. I love both these boys and I hope they both could start but that just doesn't happen, but the fact that you can come on here and go crazy on the kid for going 8-12 is just beyond my believe. So what if they were playing Cover 4? Did you see his throws to Hamby/Nicol? The kid can play and he puts zing on the ball as well as a nice look'n spiral! The point is he completed the passes and moved the chains. Another thing is I noticed Smith doesn't really lock on to just one reciever so wouldn't that help us distribute the little offense we get, and maybe once in a while spring someone for a big gain? Bottom Line is you should support every player on this team whether its a win or loss.

oh ok. i think zwick and santonio should split heisman votes this year. im specifically referring to their 2 long bombs in the marshall game.

not sure which botched handoff you are talking about but one was all on lydell if you read tressel's face after the play. later smith was tripped up by a lineman but i put that on smith.

incorrect....there was nine or ten minutes left in the third when smith came in.....smith also stunk up the place until the dogs were called off.....

now get your facts straight and then combat me again.....

jesus...i was barely watching the game and knew that smith didnt come in late in the third.....you have to do better than that......powerless....

What Zwick did in the marshall game was great but its what have you done for me latly? Once the competition stepped up where has he been? Smith atleast deserves a chance, and if he does horrible then yes give it back to Zwick. We'll never know who's best for the Job if they both don't get a fair shot.

you mean 'in the first half' of the Marshall game... he threw consecutive INTs and lost a fumble in the second half... JZ has played exactly TWO good quarters of football out of a total of 22 quarters...

but the QB ain't the problem... it's the revolving door in front of the QB...

Did you miss the part where Zwick left him down 17, and then his starting field positions were from the 12 and the 3. I guess Zwick could've marched us right down the field in those scenarios.

Oh god I was off about 3 minutes! How does a kid stink up the place in your opinion if he's handing the ball off on the first 2 plays and then gets to pass? Answer me that? What I saw in Smith was he's faster, throws a nicer ball, Goes through OPTIONS, and Last and most important doesnt' fumble or throw INT's.

Because I was off a couple minutes doesn't make up for the fact that you're wrong for bashing the kid. Nice job for BARELY watching the Buckeye game. Atleast I watched the whole thing god forbid I was off on ONE THING.

What Smith did was put himself in a position to start. Whether you like it or not.

im not going to argue with any of you about who is better....zwick or smith.....both sides have real arguements....

go back to where my REAL position on this subject is.....brett farve would be 7-23 for 97 yards if he suited up in the buckeyes uniform.....

arguing about who the qb should be is like arguing over which gang member is wrong for offing a rival....

the system is at fault...period....
