Smith's progression is defintiely noticeable as he is now getting to a stage where we can feel more comfortable with him as a passer. I saw him look off the defense a few times in this game instead of staring the reciever down. The roll out play where he threw the final TD to Holmes was one where he probably would have ran in the past but he kept his eyes downfield. Finally he showed he was a warrior out there by battling the hit on the chin and still taking control in the second half. He now moved to 12th in passer rating with this last weeks 3 TD no int performance.

There is a minimum as to how many passes a QB must throw in order to be included on that list.

I'm making this based on the assumption that at least one backup quarterback from one of the 117 DIA teams has thrown one pass and completed one pass, giving him a 100% passing rate.

Can you imagine if Baker didn't give Smith $500
Just look at Smith's improving proformances. If he plays in the Alamo Bowl last year and is #1 in the spring and #1 in fall camp and plays against Miami, I believe we beat Texas and Penn State and are headed for the Rose Bowl. I hope Baker never steps foot in the Shoe again. Once again, as with MoC, the almighty dollar in these young kids face, together with a lack of adults to guide, has led our team away from true greatness it deserves. It is possible we could have NC's in '02, '03 and '05. How about that for a dynasty. Oh Well, maybe someone will learn a lesson from this. I hope I am not rehashing a dead subject, just that it hit me watching TS progress as a QB as to where we might be.
