Anyone think about him at the Jets? There QB situation doesn't appear to be that great. Any thoughts?

FWIW, Kiper had him going around the 20th pick of the draft earlier tonight. Middle to low 1st rounder and I have no reason to disagree at this point...

Interesting stat. Some friends at work were talking about the number of Troy's touchdowns thrown into the the endzone vs. the number caught and ran into the endzone compared to Quinn's same stats.
This is what I came up with for Troy by watching timBUCKS video.
19 of 30 TD passes were thrown into the endzone.
11 of 30 caught and ran into the endzone for a total of 104 yds.
1 run of 21 yds. for a TD.
Now we all know the great talent we have at receiver and I am by no means trying to down play them or question their ability. You would think that with all of our talent that maybe we would have more YAC into the endzone. I would love to see a comparison with Quinn's TD passes.

Beat me to it. Pos seemed gracious and semi-aware that Hawk was more deserving last year. He seemed a little cocky this year, but I don't fault him for others being retarded.

I think if he really impresses scouts at the combine/pro day, then he could sneak into the first round. However, as of right now he is a 2nd round pick. I'm kind of hoping he gets drafted as Delhomme's replacement just so I can see him play more often than if he were drafted by a different team. (I live in NC) Also, Carolina's O-Line will be healthy next year and solid, they have a solid defense, Deangelo Williams/Deshaun Foster, Steve Smith and Keyshawn. I dont think there is really a better team for him to go to that is in need of a QB/QB of the Future.

Uh, playing in the slot, returning punts, and only throwing the ball on reverses?
Even Maurice Carthon isn't that dumb. He's not Marcus Vick.

Well I'm just saying that if Troy can't make it as a QB..I think he will be like Antwan...Troy is a very athletic player and I think he could be a good player in those cases because he can do it all....IMO

Troy is a rocket-armed, drop back passer who also has the ability to get out of the pocket and still make plays. He will never be a Randle-El type. He is a quarterback who happens to be a great athlete, not vice-versa. He's been on the Big stage many times in his career here and has shined. There are a few reasons why Jim Tressel is viewed as a great "Big Game" coach, and one of those reasons is Troy Smith. He's basically never let him down. He's a poised leader, and I think that tomorrow night we're going to hear one of the most sincere, appreciative acceptance speeches in Heisman Trophy history. As for his draft stock, the NLF guru's will blow it just like most do when a player doesn't fit the "prototype." I'll say mid 2nd round at this point.
