What was it, something like 32 of 44 for 19 touchdowns or something ridiculous like that? That is mind boggling.

It was 21 TDs with 0 INTs...

Lol, exactly what I was thinking. I want to see him go to a team with a good offense and a veteran QB to learn from.
3 worst teams to be drafted by: Detroit, Oakland, and Cleveland.

i've been waiting to post about this, simply because i'm trying to distill and crystalize all these thoughts and emotions that are swirling around my head... all i can say is that this is a fairy tale. this kind of stuff just doesn't happen. the fact that he named Kirk, TJ, Doug, Steve, and Alex was fantastic. what a wonderful story. Congrats Troy.
these ARE the good old days.

Anyone who thinks Tressel isn't real, didn't see that moment. Said it all for me.

Smith's ascension from the bottom to the top took two years. He took $500 from a booster and was suspended for two games, the Alamo Bowl that capped the 2004 season and the opener in 2005.

It was always my view that two wonderful pieces of Buckeye lore came from that Alamo Bowl game.
The most immediate was what we can all agree was Zwick's signature performance as a Buckeye. Injured, but had to hang in there and gutted out a Bowl win for his, Tressel's and the team's resumes.
The most significant and long lasting was the complete turning of a corner in the life of this young man who now has become the recipient of the seventh Heisman award by an Ohio State player. Without that lonely dose of discipline who knows what might have happened.
With it, we have growth, a new man and a great moment in Buckeye history.
Congratulations Troy -- on becoming everything positive that you could become.
