He'll never get a chance just like Scotty McMullen never got the chance to win us a few big games, right? Zwick could go down at any moment in any game and suddenly Smith would be starting for a top10 team in the country.
besides, he's on a team and from everything i've read, he's happy where he's at. yes, he wants to start, but he realizes how nice he has it...

does this sound like someone who's looking out for himself and ignoring the team? i think not.
of course, if he does want to transfer... he's more than welcome to come play at Malone.

If he went to another 1A school he would have to sit out next year and only get 1 year to play. Between that, 1AA, and backing up at OSU I'd choose OSU. If he does leave I would expect it would be to 1AA because there is no use having to sit out another year. If he was going to go 1A it would have been smart to get out before this season started so that he could play next year.

Heh--that's my signature. It's not meant to be degrading toward you in any way. It was just a quote I took off another msg board a while ago and liked. I like your post, actually.
Plus--I'm not to be taken seriously very often, if at all.

If you truly felt that way, then your ass needs to be at another program. Not everyone can be the starter at Ohio State...we don't need selfish players at Ohio State. Fortunately, from what we've seen so far, Troy isn't a crybaby and will keep himself prepared to assume the role of starter should Justin either get hurt or his performance decline. Troy has three more years to prove himself.

It isn't worth it to transfer to IAA and it isn't worth it to sit out a year and play one year at a IA school. I think he will stick around and hope for a chance to play.

I would like to see him at WR a little bit!!! You could run a hell of a trick play with Smith, Zwick, and Ginn on the field at the same time!!!!!
