He's either the second quarterback taken, or he's in the second round. Trading for a late first round spot to pick him doesn't make sense.

That is what I meant by blowing my mind. He is a solid QB...he just doesn't seem like a guy that jumps off the page to a GM screaming...trade up to get me before I'm off the board.
Troy Smith was a 5th rounder, when you compare him to Henne, the only thing he has on TS is height.
Mobility-Smith
Arm Strength-probably even
Leadership/Intangibles-Smith
Goofy Haircut-Henne
Height-Henne

Two things that you didn't mention were experience in the NFL and support from the veterans on the team. Smith has both of those as well.

Orgeon you are right, no one in the right mind would trade up to 20 to make that pick..
Now being a Browns fan, I wouldn't mind seeing the Ravens do that.. or trade BQ or DA for TS and a 2nd round pick. I'll keep dreaming..

No doubt! With the way Ravens QBs were running for their lives last season, what on earth do they think Henne would do back there?

What doesn't make sense is that Troy did great in his starts.
But the Ratbirds are so eager to draft [censored]ing Chad Henne? Joe freaking 1-AA Flacco?
It doesn't make sense! Winning is a trait, along with height, arm strength, mobility etc.
I would be very surprised to see the Ravens take a quarterback - they have a solid backup in Boller and a budding star in Troy. Like I said, the playing time he was given, he did as well as anyone could expect of him. It wasn't like they gave him 5 starts, they went 0-5, and now are questioning the pick.

I agree with you but they are definitely set on taking a QB.
