The case for Troy - you know you have a special player on your hands when he can make Bengals, Browns, and Steelers fans passionately concerned about the QB situation in Baltimore.
What's the old cliche about the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
That board is full of people that want to give Boller the chance because he's got the most experience, and they think this year he might actually not make the same mistakes he's been making for the past several ... uh -- his whole career.
On the other hand, you've got a vocal group that thinks Flacco is the answer, despite the fact that nobody outside of maybe Flacco's coaches, the hardcore CFB fans that watched the Delaware/App St championship game last year, and Mel Kiper have ever seen him even attempt a pass.

Unless Smith and/or Boller get injured...Flacco isn't going to see the field until week 10 at the earliest. Being a 1AA quarterback is just too steep of a hill to climb to be the opening day starter.
If the Ravens start Boller, he will screw up at some point giving TS an opportunity to start several games this year. I still think Smith will beat out Boller for the starting gig.
Smith won the 2006 Heisman Trophy, but the fact he stands only 6-0 is a drawback because he is more effective on rollout plays that don't have a huge place in the Ravens' scheme. As Cameron points out, with the inclement weather found in all four AFC North cities, it is no coincidence that Roethlisberger, Cincinnati's Carson Palmer, and Cleveland's Derek Anderson are towering athletes with large hands.
Great fact-checking there, Carucci. Look at Troy's hands in the pic I posted and then look at Flacco's and Boller's.
