The BCS game was the turning point, but as much as I love Troy, it was Troy that showed up overweight and out of shape for the BCS title game and the combine...not the media. What [censored]es me off the most about Troy is that he worked his balls off to get and keep the starting job and to earn the Heisman, but was undone by the banquet circuit. Hopefully he wins the starting job with the Ravens and is able to better handle the success wrought by his hard work this time around.

He does look like a new man right now though. Infact he looks lighter than I ever remember him. Hopefully thats a sign of things to come for Troy.

I also always point out that while QB'ing at OSU, it's not like Troy was playing behind a line made up of 6'1 linemen. His line was always close to NFL size. Never bothered him.
6 games into the season, his biggest fans will be his receivers. Bet on it. |

Well, what do you want him to say? We weren't outmatched and just didwn't show up to the game? Come on, let's face a little reality here, the ONLY excuse we have is Teddy getting hurt, but do you really think that would have made a difference? Face it, we were beat in every position. Face it, we underestimated Florida, they were better than us, and we lost.

Yeah, this makes it feel so much better, great Chris Leak isn't doing a whole lot, now I feel like 2006 didn't end on a bad note. Here, let me give you a little hint, don't make posts like this, all it does is say "we're sore losers."
We lost that championship, Troy won a heisman, Troy is a great player and we love him, but none of what people post are going to make that game against Florida any different. Do you really look back and go "well Chris Leak sucked@!" and feel better? I sure as hell don't, I look back and Troy's career, when people were saying this guy is a "Transfer waiting to happen" and then when he got into trouble and people were saying "this guy is going to destroy the program" and him sticking it out, then watching him come in and destroy scUM, then beat N_tre _ame and people saying "this is the team to watch out for" and then in 2006 watching him show the heart he had.
You guys need to look at his career of what he did, not make excuses for what he didn't do.

OSU was greatly outmatched that night. Small minded folk draw wide sweeping conclusions based on a remarkably small sample size which isn't really part of the same season.
Tom Brady's OL is one of the best around, yet look how dreadful they were in the Super Bowl (or overmatched, if you will). Fortunately, they play more games and we saw the exact same teams play out in a completely different game.
One would think such would teach an obvious lesson, but hatred and laziness usually beats out logical analysis these days.

for what it's worth I wasn't making excuses for what he didn't do. Maybe you're taking what I posted out of context. Troy is my favorite player all time and when some dbag comes on here and talks smack and that florida game is all you're gonna judge him by I'm gonna take a shot at their guy.
Like it or not I don't care. I don't look back at that game and think we were simply outplayed. It wasn'tmeant to be and when TGjr went down it was the beginning of the end. No it's not sour grapes, it's just how I feel.
When Teddy went down it changed the entire gameplan for the bucks and I truly believe things might have been different atleast a little closer had it not happened.
