I'm with you. Nothing wrong with supporting your team especially on game day.
I just wonder about the guys running around wearing jerseys of kids half their age. Now a nice polo shirt, sweater or jacket looks good. The block O hat always gets my attention.

I was traveling, again, last year when Bill Cowher and his daughter got on my plane. They were in coach but quickly moved up to first class. There were no seats together so I got up and moved to an empty seat so they could sit together. He was very nice and I left them alone. Once the plane was in the air there was a line of people asking for his autograph.

I realize when you are an NFL coach that is part of the deal but it was easy to see he prefered to be left alone with his daughter. He was very gracious to everyone that asked. I wondered about the people asking?

bucknola: You can't blame fans for wanting to take advantage of their once-in-a-lifetime chance at meeting a pro football coach, especially if he's the coach of their favorite team. While I really had no big desire to fly to Maui for the Hula Bowl just to get Tressel's autograph, had he been standing in line in front of me somewhere you canbet your ass I'd be getting something real quick for him to sign. I think most coaches know this and may even expect it to an extent. In fact, had no one at all bothered him for a even single autograph, don't you think he'd feel a bit hurt?

DiHard: I just like wearing jerseys, although it's almost always too hot here to do so. Guess it's because I never was big enough to play football in high school, seeing as Fitch had over 1,200 boys enrolled during my senior year and I was about 5'10" and 130 lbs then.

mili....now you are a linebacker....

i dont know....but what i have been told by former teammates that actually went on and made serious money and fame playing the game...

autograph signings are a joke....

if you happen to run into them in public...be cool....tell them you hate to bother them, but respect their work...."i just want to shake your hand.."

mili....your body type is the absolute epitome of a man who should not wear a jersey....i understand your point.....you should wear polo shirts....or ...even better...a zip up vest with a short sleeve....raglon sleeve....white shirt....
red zip vest and white tee...

Ok DiHard

I guess I have missed something.
What is your story?
Ex college of pro footballer?

Mili
I understand the appeal. I just happen to be a "private" person, except on this board. It was obvious Bill C was tired and perhaps a little protective of his daughter. I respected that.

On the opposite side of the spectrum I was on an elevator in Indianapolis when Ricky Williams got on. He was with two what I would call handlers. Two little old ladies got on the elevator and kind of shoved him toward the back. They had no clue. I laughed and so did Ricky but the handlers were not happy.

Mili,
Fitch could certainly use your services now, especially after that 'move' to the Federal League last season.

Jerseys don't bother me, especially if its worn on game day or during football season.

I don't have the patience to stand in a line for an autograph, especially one which costs me money.

I'm not sure i'm in a position to criticize any autograph seeker, face painter, jersey wearer or whatever, after the way I act and feel on gameday. At the stadium, we all act like kids at a candy store. I live and die on every first down, penalty, td etc. To me, being at a Buckeye game (rather than watching) is just unbeatable (although I do take offense to people that boo the home team).

Go Buckeyes.

Not that they argued too much (once you were in the fleet) if you crossed weight caps for good reasons. I had about 6 months of dead time when I was waiting to pack up and move out for NROTC, basically spent my days training my replacement and working out. I left Hawaii (not for NROTC in the end) around 230 and it was all good weight.

Although, according to the BMI, that's obese. Then again, according to the BMI; Lydell Ross, Michael Jenkins, AJ Hawk and Will Smith are all overweight to obese too. lol. Have to love those sweeping standards.
My fiancee and I just bought a new home and went to get more life insurance recenty. The agent told us about preferred coverage which gets you a lower premium. She said that to get preferred coverage you basically had to fall within a certain height/weight range and not have/had any major health issues. According to their chart, I'm 10 pounds too high for the preferred coverage even though I'm not out of shape. I'm in the gym everyday and eat right. They don't care how healthy you are because it's all about their subjective numbers. You can be fat and out of shape and qualify but if you have very much muscle mass will not qualify you. My solution is to basically go on week or two crash diet to cut the weight. The agent also told us about a player for the Bengals she had in that couldn't get the preferred coverage because of the weight, yet their body fat was under 5%.

Look at the Title of this thread, and can someone please tell me what any of this has to do with Chris Gamble? Any conversation regarding # 7 was abandoned in the second post.

I've read three times more about Di's guns, six pack, pecks, traps, freaks, & peaks in this thread than anything related to Gamble.

It seems like most of the guys that do wear jerseys shouldn't be -- it somehow accentuates their beer gut x 50! Nasty!

But one question for you all: what do you think of girls that wear jerseys? Do you frown on that? I (a female if you can't tell by my moniker) have a Kirk Herbstreit jersey (cheesy, I know!) that I love to wear on gameday. Am I in violation by the fashion police?

Yeah, but it just got a whole lot better with the mention of Ashley Judd...

Chic's can wear jerseys and look good, but most chic's who look good in a jersey would look good in anything. I'm a big fan of the tight jersey on a femme as well. Or, tie it up to show off those amazing ab's...

I have a saying that gets used frequently, "Just becuase they make it in your size doesn't mean you should wear it." Large jerseys fit tight on some women and that's not sexy to me.
