WR/RB Lamaar "Flash" Thomas (transfer to New Mexico)

I agree on all the calls for Flash in the option game. I would love to see him in the Shot-Ginn. The Harvin comparisons are good in terms of utilization...we need a home run threat back there with Pryor sometimes when Beanie isn't in and Lamar could gives us that imo. I'm pretty sure RB's catch passes too. However, I can also interpret us using Lamar like we are so he can get used to WR...if we try to use him at RB, maybe it stunts his growth at WR and he never develops his route running? Either way, I don't think it's too much on his plate to get him in on some RB screens and speed options. The read option takes time to work on though with the timing, gives, reads, etc. but as mentioned, Pryor and Flash seemed to have it down in the AA game.

Lamaar has made it onto the depth chart as WR, per the-ozone. It's as the 6th WR but it shows hes making progress.

It'd been great if we can get Pryor to jell with a couple of young guys as well as the veterans towards the end of the season, like Troy did with Holmes, Ginn and Gonzo in '04. Thomas, Posey and Sanzo all have potential to be playmakers.

This would be a great week for TP and Flash to hit on a big play, TP from Penn and Flash from a PSU recruiting hotbed of Maryland, it would be sweet justice to see that duo help do in JoePa and his lazy recruiting.

That being said, Flash does seem to be getting comfortable and this would be a good week to show it off from scrimage as well as on the return team.

Small makes me hold my breath on punt returns, but for the wrong reasons. Honestly, I'd rather us just have Flash back there and a good blocking WR who could return if he had to.

Small has some problems on punts, unfortunately. He can be electric.
