By Bucknuts.com Staff The weekend got even better for the Buckeyes as Ted Ginn, Jr., the No. 1 CB prospect in America, has committed to Ohio State. Ginn is participating in today's All-American Bowl in San Antonio. We hope to have comments from him after the game. Stay tuned. FULL STORY | Posted Jan 3, 2004 |

He did more than participate. He was the MVP of the game.
We've got another good one on our hands. |

Jim just keeps the great defensive players coming. This defense for the next several years will not only have a lot of talent starting but it will be very deep.
The Running back from Cleveland that won the Mr. football award had an outstanding run today. Anyone see it? Made a couple cuts that reminded me of Barry Sanders...Well maybe I shouldn't go that far. |

This is the second year in a row that we've picked up the #1 prep safety in the country and that the safety was from Glenville.
(edit) Ginn is a corner, not safety. Last edited by MililaniBuckeye; 01-10-2004 at 10:03 PM. Reason: 'Cuz I'm a dumb ass... |

Whitner was rated the #1 CB in the country last year. Sure he's playing safety for the Buckeyes but we have landed the #1 CB recruit in back to back years. I don't think there is any question Teddy will be playing corner for us though.

I'd hate to have to defend that. ![]() |

ashland: Great scenario, but how about Childress in place of Smith? That kid has been so close to breaking a few, and he's learned how to hold onto the ball. I look for that kid to break one or two big ones this coming season.

I guess I just put Smith in there because if Zwick does beat him out for the QB spot then it would be a shame to waste this kid's talent on the bench. He seems like he could help us in a number of ways. If he does lose the QB battle I hope Coach Tressell finds a way to use him on more than returns. I could see him in the backfield along side Zwick in the shotgun with the ball being directly snapped to him. Or even crazier things as Zwick going in motion and Smith moving under center. Of course with his presence in the game the defense must always be alert to an option pass if he gets the ball on a toss or backwards pass. The options are so numerous. He could add a lot too an offense. |

think about the trick play possibilites with Smith as a WR... will he be running a reverse? a route? will he get the ball behind the line of scrimige and then become a QB and throw...??
He could be so valuable as a WR... you wouldn't know what he would do with the ball when he has it!! |
