What a great GET for JT. While it would have been nice to see Fred in the S&G, Kyle is a MUCH bigger committment (literally AND figuratively) for the Bucks!

Where's Kyle Mitchum?
When the offensive line is mentioned, I don't hear KM's name. How is his progress.
I know this is out of the blue, but the tread on the "Big 33" got my mind turning.

mitchum was a stud on the scout team last year and the coaches were raving about his future...doug worthington also told me that he is the best lineman that he has ever gone up against...
he is kind of forgotten right now, but dont worry about him

From Bollman's interview for one of the Bucknuts' magazines:
"I’d always like to get to the point where you can steadily rotate some guys. You’ve got Nick and Rob, T.J. (Downing), Doug Datish, Kirk Barton… those guys have all had a little bit of experience now. Steve Rehring, Tim Schafer… you’ve got some guys that have been in the mix a little bit, which is great. And then you’ve got Jimmy and Alex coming in, and then you’ve also got the other three guys that redshirted last year, who are pretty good prospects too: Ben Person, Kyle Mitchum and Jon Skinner." The O-line depth is finally getting to where we want it, Mitchum is probably another year away from starting because the first team squad will be good this year. Believe me, any lack of hearing his name is not his fault...we've just got SO many offensive lineman that could contribute that it's scarey. This is a welcomed change after the last couple years of that being a glaring weakness.

Kyle was considered a top prospect in his class out of Pa and I think the reason he hasn't made the field yet, is simply the talented depth Coach T has brought in the past three recruiting classes. He has a bright future at tOSU.

Hopefully coach Peterson will continue to develop these guys and we'll have no dropoffs when they come in.

Coach Bollman doesn't give a timetable but says Mitchum will be ready at some point this season to come back from his injury.
