Per front page of Bucknuts. This is really turning out to be a great recruiting class...maybe not quite as super as the 2002 class, but pretty damn close.

I was starting to have my doubts in early January as to how we would end this class. Coach Tressel has shown again he can do it on and off the field.

Incredible talent and size I think he stays on the offensive side of the ball and will make an impact sometime in the near future..

I think this class is more balanced than the 02 class. It seems like every position of need has been filled.
Unbelievable stats of the day. Lyons averaged 41 ypc on his 13 touchdown receptions.

I'm excited about where this class is going. Hopefully Jarrett will join Lyons at WR and we will get Anderson out of Wisconsin.

Newberg says that we have one of the best offensive line classes assembled this year. Somebody send that off to Computerbuck on BK...

His comment on MSU's class about Williams flying under the radar screen in the recruiting process had to make you wonder though....

The staff is certainly doing its best to shore up the deficiencies. What a class this is turning out to be. Hopefully the potential shows itself on the field.

I like to see this. I remember a couple of years ago when news began to slip out about what a talent Mr. Holmes was. With Lyons, Dukes, Ginn, Hall, etc it looks like the future is really bright at WR. Now we just need to get them the ball in a position where they can make plays.

No question we ahve talent at receiver. I know that Holmes has dropped two big cpasses against NW, and that he has fumbled a little bit. But overall our receivers have been great this season. The number of times they are open it ridiculous. The problem is, and we all know it, that Zwick can't hit them. Of Wosconsin had the #4 pass defense int he country, our receivers did a great job of getting open. They were behind them 4 times and were overthrown. So I agree that we will have another great crop of receivers. We just need someone to get them the ball.

Tucker said that due to the number of injuries on the defensive backfield, he has had Devon Lyons working out on defense this week, just to shore up some of the numbers on that side of the ball.

Lyons was the #5 safety in the country out of HS.

Lyons.. but not Ginn?

I mean, obviously Ginn is important on offense... but I figured he'd be the more important factor on defense as well.

There are people worried right now about Ginn's size when it comes to playing CB. Those worries would be compounded at Safety.

Ginn is a corner, they don't need help there. I don't know how healthy Salley is now, but if he is out, they are in major need of help at safety.

Well the message said nothing about the position being Safety. It just says defensive backfield.
