Maybe the Browns can draft him and continue their proud tradition set by "Metcalf up the middle". "Wells up the Middle" in '09!!!

#2 back? Are we thinking about the same Maurice Wells?

Yeah I'd say just making an NFL team would be a huge accomplishment for Maurice, then we can talk about being a #2 back someday.

Sure. Give him a decent line behind which he can run, then he could be a decent #2 back, carrying the ball 8-10 times a game to spell the starting RB.

I think there is a definite niche in the NFL for Mo! Good luck! |

I could actually see him making the Bills roster. He always had great hands and word on the street the Bills are going back to the no huddle offense. With Marshawn out for the first 3 games and Freddie Jackson unhappy with his contract, I could see them signing him up.

Outside chance I suppose. Don't forget the Bills signed Dominick Rhodes and they also have Xavier Oman who they drafted last year and he got on the field a couple times last year.

Rookie Camp Practice Notes: Day 3
Some of the tryout players that performed well were running back Maurice Wells, strong safety Tyrrell Herbert, linebacker Solomon Elimimian, long snapper Garrison Sanborn and wide receivers De?Cody Fagg, Alonzo Phillips and Dominique Thompson. Its nice to see Maurice Wells made an impression with like 30 guys at the try outs this weekend. |
