I think it's more than Miami always seems to have plenty of elite WR prospects (as compared with OSU) so the Robiskie offer does surprise me a little.

Robiskie was hoping to impress during his camp outing in Columbus and he feels he performed well. He's hoping to get an offer soon and the Buckeyes are up towards the top of his list. |

That being said, no one is doubting Brian Robiskie's talent - he's good. The Bucks have one WR commitment already, and are in on some top talent both in-state and nationwide (Lymon, Sledge, Amos). Guys like Robiskie and Orton still have a chance to receive offers, but the Bucks are only going to take 2 or 3 WR's in this class, so it is likely that someone gets left out. |

Wow, you miss a few hours on this board and you miss a lot. First of all I am not saying that Robiskie is or isn't an elite recruit. I don't know much about him except for what I've read on these boards. Sounds like he COULD be a good to great talent. However, regardless of what everyone thinks, getting an offer from Miami, especially if your a WR makes you pretty elite. I do agree that if Hartline got an offer(and subsequent committment) from OSU that he becomes a pretty elite talent. So I apologize for omitting him and Amos from our discussion. Tell me the last time Ohio had two or more top 20 national wide recievers in the same year. If you want to call those pessimists "bucknuts" that's fine, I am merely pointing out that they are out there and they will flock to this. After losing Davis last year they came out to mention that our conservative offense is going to hurt us in the future. I am not one of those detractors though. I feel we can recruit with anybody, particularly at WR. Does any other college have more WR's in the NFL?

LJB - I like this HS football links and am building a favorites folder from them. Will be nice to check schedules for both FB and BB and follow some of the recruits this fall.

tOSU has not offered but he does have offers from schools like Miami, PSU and others. He is considering all those schools including scUM and USC. He camped with tOSU and Coach Tucker gave him positive feedback but still no offer. He seems to like tOSU but Miami and PSU are showing more love. |

We must really have a good feeling about some other WR's, because we don't seem too interested in Orton, Robiskie, or Russell.

Last year I was touting Lyons and Dukes on other boards. I got thrashed by 95% of the posters because they all wanted FD. I think after the Fla all-star and the Big 33 game we realize that Ginn, Lyons, and Dukes are second to none and that we have gotten the best WR class in the country.
If you are not a beliver in JT I think you need your head examined. The guy is very analytical in the recruiting process. He knows exactly what he wants and he goes and gets it. JT knows where we stand with these kids and he knows who's in the pecking order behind the guys with offers. IMO they were gonna offer Hartline all along. They knew they were gonna offer Rouse, Manningham, and Williams. Manningham committed to Mich and Rouse and Williams seem to be long shots. The coaches know this but they are still gonna recruit them as hard as possible. IMO OSU wants 3 WR in this class with Hartline already committed, Amos and Lymon are the two main targets for the Buckeyes right now. If Lymon or Amos commit elsewhere we will offer someone else. IMO Robiskie is next in line to receive an offer hopefully he is patient and waits to see what these other players do. IMO Lymon is the WR that will be the difference between and "A" or a "B" in grading the WR class. If we get Robiskie or Amos as our 3rd WR it will be all gravy. Hartline is a fine athlete and will be one hell of a receiver for OSU. Getting Hartline effects nexts years class because his brother is a OSU lock. His brother will be a top 10 QB in the country from all accounts. Getting Hartline is a double bonus IMO for the Buckeyes. Relax everyone the coaches will have suprise offers and sometimes make you scratch your head. Remember that JT will always find diamonds in the rough. Stars aren't everything just ask Terry, Barrow, and Skinner. |
