Sorry, not true. The opposite was the case for the LSU QBs all season long.

I hope we trail in the upcoming season. The reason look at the BCS NCS and who scored first.
OSU last 2 years, USC before that, Oklahoma the year before that. LSU did not when they split, but Miami did in the 02.

All im saying is, the first to score usually losses.

I wouldnt mind being down 3 in the first quarter of the BCS NCG.
I mean when we played ND it took our defense a drive to get it into gear as well.

That pass that Robo dropped in the endzone was a beautiful ball. But for every one of those, there seem to be a handful of wounded ducks. Sometimes it looks like he's trying to point the ball and the ball just doesn't seem to fly out of his hand with ease. Maybe I'm just spoiled remembering how smoothly the football flew out of Troy's hand last year. You'd think if he was injured, someone in the know would've talked about it since the season is over, no? Hmm...

The thing I have noticed about Todd is that he is not the same passer once he takes a hit while scrambling. I think those QB draws on the second drive may have hurt a little.

First year starter he will be ok. He miss read on the deep ball to Robo. Should have hit the TE the middle had to be open with the blitz. He will get better.

personally i think todd has lacked zip all year. granted im compairing him to troy who has a rocket for an arm. but all of his passes have seemed to be short on velocity. not to mention alot of his long throws over the middle tend to sail. thats one of the big things i would like to see him improve on in the off season.

yeah, lsu played the right d to stop us. they shut down the short outside routes and forced everything inside or to the far side of the field which is where we have struggled in passing all year. he misread lsu's d repeadedly, and in doing so missed a lot of wide open guys. but its also his first year. he has all the tools, though some need work and a few others need time. i look forward to seeing how the qb position pans out next year.

It's all about decision making for TB. You can get away with two INTs against MSU or Akron. But if he wants to win it all (or win at USC for that matter) he just can't turn it over. I know that's easier said than done. But to win the big games, you have to do better in the turnover battle. That's why we did well with Krenzel. He wasn't spectacular, but he was smart with the football.

Every time TB scrambled in the NC game, I was like...throw it away Todd. And he'd try to make something happen and well...that's not his game.

I think he starts the season as the #1 QB. But I think USC will be his big test. Big game to prove he can take care of the football and not turn it over. If not, I think we see #2 get his shot (whoever that might be).

I'm not sure what being with the program has to do with anything when you're seeing zero playing time. 3rd string QB = scout team QB most weeks with very few reps having to do with our offensive game plan. Even if he was getting more reps in our system, we've used at least three different systems, to fit starting personell, since he's been here.

My concern with Todd was that he didn't seem to get better with the competition this year. In the system that was built for this years starting personell. His previous three years on the bench don't factor into any part of my concern over his growing pains.

Todd Boeckman acknowledges some missteps, but he's not worried about hearing footsteps.

Despite putting up one of the better seasons as a passer in Ohio State history, he might find himself in the odd position of defending his starting quarterback job heading into spring practice.

"I've always got to go out and prove something," Boeckman said. "Even though I started every single game and put up decent numbers, if I'm not getting the job done on the practice field, if somebody is doing better than me, why not let them get a shot?"

"There were times in a close game I was trying to force the ball and make a play happen," Boeckman said. "I should always know where the safety is, and sometimes that slipped my mind. I was letting my ability take over and wasn't thinking as much as I should have."

On a two-quarterback system with Henton, he said, "That's not a big deal to me at all. If that gives us a better chance of winning, I'm all for it. I know he's a great player, and he can give us an extra added dimension."


On Pryor, Boeckman said, "From what I understand, he's a great player. I haven't seen him play yet. But college is a totally different ballgame. He would have to come here and establish himself, and there's so much more to learn. The game is faster."

IMO.. it's not a good thing, and I don't think its common to be that much worse when you get behind.. I think Todd puts way too much on his shoulders instead of keeping his head and playing within himself. (see Craig Krenzel) If we are to win it all next year, we need to handle adversity much better, starting with the starting QB.
