I agree he was a major reason for that statline and like I mentioned I'm not worried about him at all. Just from watching the tape twice today he looks a little frustrated in the second half. His defense was great today but I think offensively he was a touch unfocused today. The job he does defensively game in and game out is great and I have no qualms with any of that. Personally I dont care if he scores 10 points a game as long as his opponent gets distracted by him defensively. Now that I look back on it once again it could've been the 4 personal fouls he got tagged with that was upsetting him. I can recall one in particular where he actually talked back to the ref which isn't like him to do.

When did you notice this frustration? Sure, he seemed to get upset with a few foul calls, but other than that I don't recall many closeup shots.

Butler has never been one to look for his own points, almost to a fault at times last year (where I wished he would replace some ill advised shots by teammates).

i can think of two times both after the matta t that he flailed his arms. maybe he was off offensively.. honestly if i had to rank guys who i had an worry about jamar is last. he might not be on every night, who is? but hes shown to be a guy who hits big shots and plays a big time game in key points of the big games

I agree with both of you on his game overall, just something in his face today made me ask that question. On the sidelines late in the second half when he was pulled he looked almost sad. I doubt he would be thinking back to his cousins accident at that point in the game but emotions sometimes come out in a person when they are least expected.
Again I reiterate: I'm not worried about Jamar. We will be counting on him and he'll produce the rest of the way. Just something I thought I noticed today.

So how far was that 3-pointer by Jamar, after the ball was knocked into the backcourt with the shot clock winding down? It was hard for me to tell, since I was behind the basket he shot at, but I'd guess 35 feet.
That shot was the dagger today.
