and it continues. starting to look like itll be a long season. i understand that bob todd has done ALOT for osu baseball but doesnt it get to the point when a program becomes stagnant? i mean *ichigan was down for a long time and yet they look in better shape than we do. if im not mistaken arent they the last big 10 team to qualify for the college world series? and its starting to look like theyll be the next one to go. is it too much too ask for osu to make the colege world series more than once every 40 years? notre dame and nebraska have both done it recently so i dont buy the northern schools cant do it argument. just my $0.02

Baseball: DeLucia, Buckeye Bats Silence Bradley, 10-3 - The Ohio State Buckeyes Official Athletics Site - OhioStateBuckeyes.com
Quote:
SARASOTA, Fla. ? Dan DeLucia picked up his first win of the season behind a career-high 10 strikeouts and solid support from the bullpen, and the Buckeye bats stayed hot with a season-high 19 hits in a 10-3 win over Bradley Tuesday at IMG Academy Park.
DeLucia, who left the game with a lead for the fourth time in as many starts this season, walked just one and scattered five hits while surrendering three runs in 6.0 innings of work. He left with the Buckeyes on top, 9-3, and relievers Drew Rucinski and Tom Popadak did not allow a run in 3.0 innings of work. The win improves Ohio State?s record to 8-5 and drops Bradley to 5-8. DeLucia is 1-0 with his 22nd career win.

Man, our bullpen has been a freakin disaster. Awful, just awful. We're finally putting some runs on the board this year and now our usually good pitching has tanked. Todd needs to find someone who's going to come into a game and close em down. Use the young guys if you have to by committee but do something and do it fast.

SARASOTA, Fla. - Ohio State and St. Louis battled through a scoreless game for six innings, but the Billikins scored four runs in the seventh to defeat the Buckeyes, 4-0, Wednesday at IMG Academy Park. The loss drops Ohio State?s record to 8-6. St. Louis improves to 8-8.
The loss spoiled a fine outing by true freshman Andrew Armstrong, who pitched 6.1 innings in his first start of the year. St. Louis countered with senior B.J. Rodrigue, who scattered 10 hits and walked just two in a complete game win that improved his record to 2-1. Armstrong is 0-1.

Not good.
Since their 4-0 start, the Buckeyes have gone 4-6 against not-so-great competition. They need to step it up.
