COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State lost its first non-conference home game this season at Bill Davis Stadium on Wednesday, falling to Central Michigan, 4-2. The Buckeyes are now 16-10 on the season, while the Chippewas improve to 13-16.
Central Michigan starter Jesse Hernandez, usually the team’s closer, pitched a brilliant game for the Chippewas, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits with six strikeouts over eight innings.
Ohio State’s
Josh Edgin made his second start of the year and pitched well, allowing two runs on one hit with five strikeouts in four innings.
