The 2009 Ohio State Baseball Schedule
Is as joke! Kentucky was replaced by Ball State, although the UK schedule still shows us playing on 4-21.
Check out these heavyweights! Including 3 Division 2 teams Rhode Island Northeastern George Mason Maine Tampa Army SIU Edwardsville!! Rollins Hartford Central Michigan North Dakota State Maryland-Baltimore-County Maine And the always fun non league game in Florida vs a B10 foe (indiana) Mid week games like.. Ball State Xaxier Morehead St Akron EMU Sorry to be negative, but my eyes are still hurting. I'm so dissapointed A potential game vs Miami, Notre Dame, Kent St and a pair vs UL are the only bright spots i see. Also 2 vs good UNF team Check out the rest..if you dare BASE: 2009 Ohio State Baseball Schedule Set - The Ohio State Buckeyes Official Athletics Site - OhioStateBuckeyes.com |

I was shocked a couple of years ago when U Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) showed up on the basketball schedule and am again with the baseball sched. I used to live near the campus, it is little more than a Columbus State.

I am comparing our schedule only to other B10 teams. Our SOS has ranked 10th, 9th, & 9th in the B10 over the last 3 years, and this year wont be any different... heck we ranked 4th in the state of Ohio in SOS last season! We play 11 games vs teams that finished ranked outside of the top 200 in RPI last year & that's not even counting midweek games or games vs DII teams. If we ever want to be taken seriously, we have got to stop playing so many games against teams ranked in the bottom third in RPI . Everybody has a few turds on their schedule, but NOBODY in our league plays as many as we do...look it up. I love this B10/Big East challenge thing. It is a great way to start the year, and i wouldnt mind seeing it every year. As far as kentucky goes, i have'nt given up on that game yet. I hope it happens...UK seems to think we are still gonna play on 4-21. Last edited by rhgbosu; 11-19-2008 at 07:15 PM. |

Agreed. I have always thought 3 umps was a bigger sham than 4 game series.

3-3 in February wouldnt be terrible. We could concievably go 5-1 but 6-0 would be extremely tough. Who knows though, beat ND and see what happens!
