ASU ranked #2 or #3 in the nation depending on poll. They are going for the sweep of USC today in Compton.

Thanks, reag, ASU is another of the powerhouse programs in NCAA baseball.

Too bad we lost today to USC 8-2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, we took 2 out of 3 in the Hood. Should be a good season for ASU. The Pac-10 isn't looking as strong as it has in years past. ASU is the only ranked Pac-10 team in the top 25. |

isn't it called the 6-Pac for baseball?

The Six Pac Conference was ASU, UofEh, UCLA, USC, Stanford and Cal (traditional baseball powers) Oregon, OSU, UW and WSU were in the Pac-10 Northern Division (not traditional powers) The conferences merged in 1999. |

Official Sun Devil Baseball site
Sun Devils Ranked #3, defeat Stanford TEMPE, Ariz. - A stellar starting pitching performance from Seth Blair and Zack MacPhee's first career home run lifted the No. 3 Arizona State University baseball team to a 3-1 victory over top-ranked Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday in front of a crowd of 3,489 at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark. The Sun Devils improved to 20-5 on the season with the win in the second game of the DeMarini West Coast Challenge. Blair improved to 3-1 on the season, allowing just four hits and one unearned run with three strikeouts and no walks over seven innings. Josh Spence earned his first career save, coming on from the bullpen to throw two shutout innings and finish off the win. Just goes to show what a good schedule will do, they are 20-5 and #3, we are 21-5 and #18 |

What's your point? That a non-traditional baseball school in the Pac-10 became good and won 2 College World Series? Is that supposed to refute something I wrote? Are they now traditionally good? |

Unfortunately they are usually pretty good at baseball. Not ASU good, but still good. And by the way, I didn't say UofA, I said UofEh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Ouch. I didn't help that 2 of the bottom 10 teams (out of 302!) were on our schedule (North Dakota State and UMBC).
