Wisconsin Baseball (or lack there-of)???

so, I don't really follow the Big Ten in baseball (or any sport not called Football).

Why doesn't Wisconsin field a baseball team?
No interest?
sanctions?
money?
just because?

Im a lifelong Buckeye/Big 10 guy and even I have no clue. It cant be solely because of the weather as Minnesota has a pretty darn good program

I asked their BuckeyePlanet equivalent and they told me the baseball team was a casualty of Title XI.

Are you sure? Wisconsin is has a lot of maritime activity... perhaps their stadium became a shipyard.
