Not much success, but he hasn't totally disappeared. He has played in 12 games for the Utah Jazz this year (04-05):

Does anyone have an educated guess regarding the odds of the Bucks receiving more sanctions? Do you think the self-imposed ban and getting Obie out of here is going to be enough for the NCAA?

Man, everytime I think of Obie I get [censored]ed off. I can't believe that a-hole is suing OSU for firing him. I should find out where he lives and blast a dump down his chimney.

There were reports from the lawsuit that the Nanny had used OB's tickets at least once. That is not a good sign, and OB has some 'splainin to do about that. The trusted assistant coach continues to refuse to give a deposition, so infer what you will from that. It's not looking good as far as lack of institutional control goes, and this case is more than OB lending $6k to an impoverished family in a warzone. The fact that Geiger acted quickly and decisively I believe will limit the sanctions to no postseason play this season with possibly repaying the 1999 Final 4 money since at least 1 of the Final 4 players were provided extra benefits by the coaching staff.

I sure as [censored] hope so. Seeing kids like Syl, Dials and Sully have to finish their careers as well with no tournament (which they will make next year with ease) would absolutely break my [censored]ing heart.

My feeling is that this NCAA investigation will not be complete until the lawsuit is settled and that is a ways off right now. The feeling of impending doom of our program is exaggerated in my opinion. After the dust settles, I have a feeling we will be repaying some tourney money and taking down the 1999 final four banner at the most.

NCAA will interview Biancardi next week

NCAA will interview Biancardi next week
Friday, March 11, 2005

The NCAA plans to interview Wright State men’s basketball coach Paul Biancardi on Tuesday regarding the scandal at Ohio State that led to the firing of coach Jim O’Brien.

The NCAA would not confirm or deny the report. A message left with Biancardi was not returned.

But a source close to the investigation said NCAA representatives will talk with Biancardi on Tuesday, having waited until the end of the regular season to question him about alleged NCAA violations.

Biancardi is in his second season at Wright State. He was an assistant at OSU for seven years.

During his time at Ohio State, he’s accused of breaking a number of NCAA rules involving former player Slobodan "Boban" Savovic. He allegedly set up illegal living arrangements for Savovic in July 1998 and later worked to have the player’s failing grades changed.

The accusations surfaced in a civil lawsuit filed in Franklin County last year by Kathleen Salyers, who is suing Dan and Kim Roslovic for money she says they promised to pay her to care for Savovic.

Salyers has said Biancardi knew about the many items she purchased for Savovic, a Serb who lived with her family during some of his time at Ohio State.

A revelation in the lawsuit that O’Brien gave $6,000 to Aleksandar Radojevic, a recruit who later was ruled ineligible by the NCAA, led to O’Brien’s firing in June.

Biancardi has denied all allegations against him in two public statements.

I just read this article in the dispatch and I am thinking that finally we will see some movement in this investigation. What suprises me is that the NCAA waited until after the regular season to interview Biancardi. I am not real sure what if anything will happen to OSU after the investigation is over but the fact that the NCAA is moving this slow is just killing me.

Kyle Lamb in a recent chat said this cloud could hang over the program through the fall but that the staff felt the worse was over and now it should get better from here on in.

The NCAA seems to be moving at their standard pace which is slightly faster than glaciers advance. I just hope this finishes up faster than the Damon Flint issue did. I'm guessing Biancardi will continue to deny Salyers accusations unless the NCAA has some evidence that would force him to admit guilt. If that occurs I wonder if he would try to protect his old buddy OB by taking the blame?
