No. Burson was 5'10 on stilts. diebler is a legit 6 6. I have a hard time making comparisons when guys are 9 or 10 inches in height difference.

Jon Diebler is truely a unique talent. Tayshaun Prince is actually not a bad comparison for Diebler, if I were to compare him to someone. I would recommend going to watch him and Upper Sandusky play this year. They are a lot of fun to watch. They play a fast tempo game, and press the whole time. Jon at times can truely take over a game in all parts of the game. (shooting, rebounding, playing defense, taking the ball up the court, etc.) Upper Sandusky plays in the NOL (Northern Ohio League), the league should be very competitive this year. Willard, a state power in basketball the last couple of years, is also in the NOL. Below I listed when and where they play Willard if anyone is interested in watching Jon play in person this year. (I tried to find Upper Sandusky's complete schedule, but only could find Willard's '05-'06 schedule. As soon as I find their schedule I will post it).
12/17 Upper Sandusky at Willard
1/27 Willard at Upper Sandusky

I would compare Diebler to Dunleavy Jr., not saying he is as good as Dunleavy but they have similar bodies and playing styles.

Nice Comparison. I totally agree. I was thinking JJ Reddick earlier in this thread, but the defense and some other parts of the game just arent the same.

On the sidelines
One of the staples of the fall is college football games. One of the staples of the fall recruiting season is getting recruits on campus for big football weekends. Ohio State had its four commitments from the 2006 class, including Lawrence North's Oden and point guard Mike Conley, on campus for the Sept. 10 game against Texas.
The most intriguing sight among the basketball recruits at the game, though, was Jon Diebler. A 6-6 guard-forward combination from Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Diebler attended the OSU-Texas game instead of Michigan-Notre Dame. He originally made a verbal commitment to Valparaiso after his sophomore year, but he has been quoted recently as saying he's looking forward to playing with Ohio State's 2006 class. He's also being recruited by Michigan.

Diebler to Decide Tuesday (Scout $)
Summary:
Diebler will decide tomorrow. It looks good for the home team.
The end.
