Koufos is the only one I'm worried about. I think Turner & Lighty need another year. No way Diebler departs immediately, and Buford doesn't arrive until after next year.

Cripes i'm so anxious to see Buford here I keep thinking he is in this year.
If Lighty develops a jump shot he could be gone.

The only guy on that list that IMO would go early would be KK...

Deibler and Lighy neither have NBA bodies...Buford won't be here yet, and Lighty is a 3 or even 4 year player IMO...

The 'wow he developed way faster than expected, like Conley" argument would apply to Turner, imo. I don't see the NBA coveting Diebler or Lighty next year.

Heck I never really thought Conley would go, so I guess I was fooled, but he did some things from the PG position that isnt done very often...I still have some doubts that he will be a dominant PG at the next level, especially early in his career...

As for that applying to the guys we have coming in, I don't see us leaning on guys like Turner or Diebler enough for them to wow the scouts like Conley did...

William Buford, 6'5, SG, D-1 Greyhounds, 2008, Committed to Ohio State

There was not a more productive player throughout the weekend then future Ohio State wing William Buford. He led his D-1 Greyhounds squad to the finals of the 17-U gold bracket, only to come up short to a surprising Grassroots Canada team. Buford showed off absolutely everything that you can ask for out of a scoring guard, as he shot the ball well from deep, displayed the ability to pull-up from mid range, and used his athleticism to finish at the rim once he got inside the paint. He showed off great form on his jumpshot and simply looked like a sophomore in college out there against aa group of 17 year old boys.

Buford is going to have the opportunity to step and contribute immediately for the Buckeyes with the impending departure of shooting guard Daequan Cook to the NBA and Ron Lewis' graduation. He will certainly have to improve upon his defense in order to truly make himself an elite prospect as far as the NBA is concerned, but at the moment, there is not another shooting guard prospect in the class of 2008 that brings as much to the table as William Buford does.

First let me say congratulations to Williams on his selection as a 5 star, and I wouldn't be suprised to see him continue to raise up the charts...

As for him being more a shooting guard, I think he could play either the 2 or 3...But he is more of a guard due to his ability to handle the ball and shoot from the outside, but he can mix it up in the post with his turn around jumpers and such...IMO tho he will be guarding the 3 position, especially with guys like Crater and Offut on the court...

With guys like Diebler, Wallace on the court he would do more guarding of the 2 guard...

IMO much like we saw Lewis, Cook play the 3 in college, but will transistion more to the 2 in the NBA...
