The coach is in North Carolina for a Mountaineer Athletic Club event. Carolinas Medical Center officials in Charlotte say West Virginia University Head Basketball Coach Bob Huggins was taken to their emergency room.
Huggins was in North Carolina for a Mountaineer Athletic Club "Coaches Caravan" event.
WVU Athletice Director Ed Pastilong says Huggins had gotten off of a plane at the airport in Charlotte and was checking his cell phone messages when he tripped over a cone on the tarmac and hit his head on the pavement.
Huggins' injuries are not thought to be too serious and the trip to the hospital was precautionary.
Pastilong says Huggins got a bump on his head and never lost consciousness.
Hospital officials say Huggins is still at the hospital.
Pastilong says he is expected to be released soon.
Huggins does have a history of heart problems, but this incident is not thought to be related.

I found it humorous that they mentioned his heart problems and that it was not thought to be related, yet did not mention his other problem which also causes people to lose their balance and fall down (also makes it tough to type legibly sometimes )
