My thought on what's going on with Malik
I think that Malik wants to go to UCLA. He is blinded by the Hollywood limelight and their flashy recruiting class. Then you have Moms and Pops, who don't want Malik to go to LA....and want him close to home. So that leaves you OSU and scUM....they tell him to look closer to home for what he wants. So they go to scUM on Sunday and they hear the same ol song, unimpressive. They re-group and then feel that it leaves Ohio State as the obvious choice. Pops is happy and tells Kyle comments that lead to the Buckeyes. Well, time goes on and Malik buys time by saying he wants to talk things over with everyone, especially coach Speedy. So now here we are and Malik has a few schools where he could fit into well, but the one on the top of his list is over 2,000 miles away. Does he leave girlfreind, parents, freinds and coaches for "Sunny California"....or be content going to OSU. Just a rant.

Some quotes from Buckaholic seem to indicate that he doesn't feel that UCLA is still involved in this. I personally feel that it's down to OSU and Kansas, with the Buckeyes winning out in the end.

Some major knocks on UCLA...
The only one of 6 schools that isn't Nike.
Distance.
Malik isn't sold on the starting spot.
Father isn't sold on Howland.
Mother definitely doesn't want him on the west coast.
The "glamour" of UCLA has cooled for even Malik.
Just doesn't seem they are likely at this moment in time.

According to the latest Rivals update Ohio State is #1 and Kansas is #2 in the Malik sweepstakes. Looks like Holic may have nailed this one.

Please, no celebration until it's over.
And either way Holic nailed it. For a few months now all these people have been saying OSU had no chance and clearly we did. Now I know he was forced to make his final prediction and he picked OSU, but even if Malik chooses differently, Holic was right on almost everything else he reported. But he'll still take tons of crap from jerks on BNs if it doesn't go down as we hope.
