There just are not enough offensive options. If the opponent is continously collapsing on Davenport (which everyone is doing and is going to continue to do), there has to be someone who can hit an outside shot, ala Caity Matter. Hoskins is a very good penetrating, slashing guard, but is not a stellar shooter. Nobody seems to be able to hit a shot, be it a three-pointer, mid-range jumper, or shot from the paint.
It looks like the writer of that piece is correct. That doesn't explain the unnecessarily unpleasant tone to his piece, however.

It looks like they didn't appreciate my criticism. Cut the score down to 44-32.
If they can continue to play solid defense, rebound, eliminate the turnovers, and hit some shots, they could make this game interesting. That's not too much to ask, is it?

I agree with much of what others posted. That last ten minutes of the first half was impossible to come back from against a team like LSU.
If we had perimeter shots going in, it would have pulled the defense off of Davenport, who fought for her life the entire night. Those two threes from her said something about what it could have been like if others stepped up.
We also need to come up with better defensive solutions. We just didn't slow them down for most of the game.
We'll most probably drop to #10 or so, that was a drubbing, but we can still be in the final four this year.
Good teams come back from this kind of stuff. This is a good team.
