I think if he would have taken the ball to the basket a little stronger he might ( might) have gotten the call. In hindsight, I think the Belmont coach should have designed a better play. I think I would have spread the court and let the one guy taken to the basket did not force anything and to kick it back out for an outside shot if he did not have a clear path. That way I think if Belmont had taken an outside shot with the a few seconds left on the shot clock they might have had a better chance for a rebound. IMO

Duke tried to draw a charge but slid sideways right into him... and the guy from behind seemed to draw contact as well.
If there was half that much contact at the other end, anyone think it goes uncalled? Poor transition D, but I think that factored into the matador D a bit.

I forgot about that. Thought the very same thing. They should have gotten back. The code should have told them that when he designed that play.

But for the disparity in free throws, West Virginia would be leading Duke at halftime of their second round tourney game. As it is, Duke leads by 5, 34-29.
Free throws in the 1st half: West Virginia 3 for 3, Duke 12 for 12.

WVU also needs to start converting off of those offensive rebounds.
