I have been saying that Turner is coming into the program with not as much fanfare as some of the other prospects, but I feel he is the most ready for the rigors of college ball with the exception of Koufos. I think he will turn some heads next year.....he is a great prospect.

Evan Turner really impressed me last night. He is very long and active on defense. He is able to bring the ball up the court comfortably and set up the offense. I also noticed a huge smile on his face after he knocked down the 3 from the corner and I couldn't help but smile myself. I think Evan has a big future ahead of him and look forward to seeing him progess.

I believe he hit a growth spurt and grew out of a PG role, if I remember correctly from his recruitment. He and Lighty provide some much needed ball-handling with Butler as the only trusted PG on the team, for now.

Yeah, depending on how well Crater or Offutt can adjust to the college level, I would mind seeing a lineup of Turner at point and Buford/Diebler and Lighty on the wings. If Koufos stays, with him and Mullens down low, nobody could match up with our size. With Ean's wingspan and quickness, he shouldn't have a problem staying in front of the opposing PGs on defense.

Turner reminds me of Lighty last year....give him some time to adjust and he will be a very solid player for Ohio State. He has the ability on the perimeter, when he gains some confidence you will see him take it to the basket on a consistent basis.

Great minds think alike...
Also I don't envision ever seeing Turner at the PG...Hill will be just fine there in his backup role this year and with a year under his belt will be just fine as either the starter or backup depending on how quick Noopy can pick things up next year...
As for Turner, I think that he is going to see more pt than Lighty saw early in the season last year due to having Cook and Lewis ahead of him and he will develop faster than Lighty...
