Wow. That makes me feel a lot better about our chances about him, and I was already feeling pretty good about them!

The staff has done a great job with Crater. We are the team to beat by far at this point.

I find it interesting a top Michigan talent from Flint wants to leave the state to play basketball. I would have figured he would be a shoe-in to play for Izzo at Michigan State.

SAME HERE. I never thought an OSU coach would ever be able to go into scum land and grade a top player. Scum is really down but, your right Izzo&msu are still tough as heck to beat out .
Matta or Tressel.
Whose the king of recruiting at what A NICE PROBLEM TO HAVE.

This is a case of Matta and company just doing a better job of recruiting Crater. Illinois could be a factor down the line but we are in good position at this point.

FWIW- It doesn't appear Crater has really been recruited very hard by either UM or MSU. I know that MSU only has 2 scholarships for the 2008 class and is bringing in a top flight PG in 2007. Even if we had gone after him he still may have left the state.
This is a great forum. Good luck with Crater.

I think the talent is obviously there... but Noopy has been very transparent in his love for OSU all along, causing UM/MSU to not waste their time.

MSU not recruiting him has nothing to do with talent, attitude, etc as far as I know. That's not what I was trying to say.
He admitted that Duke was his favorite team growing up but I'm not sure he is going to be one of their top targets.
