I was sitting in a bar in Northern Kentucky, surrounded by screaming UK fans during the NCAA finals when Tubby led the Wildcats to a national title. The "N" word was flying around the entire game until UK won and then everything was peace and harmony and wasn't Tubby just the perfect coach. It was amazing to watch the change. All coaches face the 'what-have-you-done-for-us-lately' legacy, but I think being black makes it all the more difficult to avoid.

As for Tubby....I love him. For what he's been through in his reign at UK, he's earned my respect. He doesn't recruit heros....he recruits players who can play together, and they just didn't have that this year.

my bad. Did not know of any grade problems. The sorry ass akron beacon journal reported he was released of his scholarship to search for another team and thats it. I'm happy someone else bought the beacon now maybe, they might get some good work done. The onlything they do is backing up king james and they should, he's done wonders in the bad areas of akron.

He was first ruled academically ineligible and then granted his release.

Tubby to Minny?
Nevermind. At least now, Bleed S&G's fears can be put to the test.

Of all places, Minnesota? I wondered if Michigan offered him. I would have even taken the New Mexico job.
