"Kentucky will go after a big-name coach. Florida's Billy Donovan will certainly be pursued, but other guys who will be mentioned for one of the most attractive jobs in America are Villanova's Jay Wright, Marquette's Tom Crean, Memphis' John Calipari, Texas' Rick Barnes, Texas A&M's Billy Gillispie and Ohio State's Thad Matta."
Stay away from Thad.

IMO, Kentucky won't pursue Matta much at all. They will try their hardest to get Donovan. If they can't get Donovan they'd welcome Petino back with open arms. After that, it's up in the air. Mark Few would be nice though!

If you ask me, some of these names are laughable. I don't think Izzo, JC would take the job. Maybe the others...

Calipari maybe, but Izzo? I can't imagine that possibly happening.

Why is this? Because one of the most elite programs in college basketball hasn't been to a final four in almost 10 years?

Wow....Minnesota is a good place for Tubby-he is not a recruiting machine, but the Gopher faithful will apreciate him building teams that will simply get to the tournament....the Gophs better just hope he works out better than the last coach they hired w/ Kentucky roots.....Clem Haskins.....
Calipari and Donovan are probably #1 and #2 on the wishlist of the Wildcat faithful-and in fairness to the Wildcat fans, Tubby should have recruited better-I'm glad he saved the university the PR mess of canning him
