Lodging question

So, as you may be able to tell from my name, I am a Loyola fan. I'm getting excited for the tournament at tOSU this November. Myself and some other Ramblers are going to come down to see the games. However, some of us are not well versed with Columbus. I'm hoping you Buckeyes can help us out.

Is there a hotel/motel near the Value City Arena? Is there a place that would be best to stay that is in close proximity to the Arena/night life?

I would suggest the Dublin area. Nice rooms...cheap cabs...etc.

VCA sits at the corner of Lane Avenue and Olentangy River Road. Just north of the VCA is a string of Motels/Hotels that include Red Roof, Comfort Suites etc.

Also on Lane Avenue is "Holiday Inn on the Lane". Its pretty busy in November as its just a block from the Horseshoe and we're chest deep into the Big Ten Football schedule in November. I'd also suggest taking in a Buckeye Football game while in town. 105,500 people can't be wrong every week. The atmosphere on Lane Avenue on Gameday Saturday is like no other.

As mentioned, Dublin is nice. Its a 10-15 minute drive from the VCA though.

Have a safe trip in, enjoy your stay. But be ready for us to whoop your ass in the tournament.

Well, thanks for all the info. I (and other Rambler fans) really appreciate it.

I hope we meet in the final. Don't underestimate the Ramblers this year. We will be a tough game for any team.

I was hoping to be able to see Oden, but from what I have read, he will be out for the first weeks (when this tournament is going on).

Is that true?

Correct. Oden will not play until at least December. We may even hold him until January if we can.
