Overall it was a tale of some up and down basketball.
We started off strong hitting our shots, rebounding, and playing good D. Then we went South when Butler went to the bench and the young guys turned the ball over some and VMI made some shots.
Overall VMI was not a bad team, I saw where they have been averaging 135/ game and I believe it. They jack up shots like crazy. It is kind of fun to watch actually.
Overall Cook played awesome tonite. His dunks, his ability to get to hole and his long range shooting.
Conley also had an awesome game. He had 7 assists in the first half. Not sure how many he ended up with. I also saw him use his right hand around the basket on a layup. That ones for you JO.

He is so smooth out there and can break a press with ease, but at times needs to be a little stronger with the ball.
Butler had a nice shooting nite and he is really going to have a good year if he can get those open shots like he got tonite. It is also nice to have him and Conley on the court together to be able to break the press and run the break.
Lewis, Twig, and Harris what you have seen is what you got. I wish that Harris would step in a couple times and take a 15 footer instead of those 3 balls b/c he is really struggling from out there. He did play solid aroudn the hoop at times tonite.
Hunter had another solid game with some good blocks and some nice finishes around the rim. I wouldnt be suprised to see him getting a majority of the minutes at the 5. Twig has really struggled so far.
Lighty he struggled keeping ahold of the ball at times tonite, but overall another solid effort from him. His stroke has really impressed me. I hope that he continues to hit those shots. I think a lot of it has to do with his awesome shot selection that he has.
As for the walk-ons, yes they are the student managers.
I was not able to see the Loyola game, but should be somewhat of a test for us. If we don't play at a high level they might give us all we can handle.
