Who peed in your Wheaties? They are different, but so is every player in the league to some extent. They are both leaders and can clean up the garbage inside.

they are both dominant big men on their respected teams but they are different in how they dominate for their teams.
Like said before, Durant is more of a 60% inside 40% outside shooter, while Oden is pretty much a 99% inside to 1% outside shooter, but they both get their jobs done. As freshmen, they lead their teams to victory.

Last night's game showed a slight tidbit of what Greg Oden is capable of. To have that performance against Iowa is great.
Some are calling it his coming out party.
One thing I noticed is that while he was 12/13 they were not all dunks.
5/5 free throws. When is the last time anyone remembers a Buckeye shooting so well from the foul line every game. Oden can control a game easier than Durant. Nuff said.

If they were comparing Durant vs OKST, they ought to be comparing Oden vs Iowa last night too.
In all honesty, Durant is ABSOLUTELY needed at Texas and are dependant on him accounting for 30%+ of their statistics. Without him, they'd more than likely have a losing record right now. In comparison, we lead the ENTIRE first half against North Carolina AT the Dean Dome without Oden. We can still live without Oden. Texas cannot live without Durant. That's why the sportscasters like Durant more. If tOSU didn't have the supporting cast that they do, their opinions comparing the two players would be different.

We also shot lights out from the perimeter against UNC, and Lewis was playing far better basketball than he is now. We could survive okay without Oden since the Big Ten is short on talented bigs, but we wouldn't go that far in the tourney without him.

I dunno. I've been impressed with Hunter and think he could step it up if Oden went down. I think we'd still be a legit Sweet 16/Elite 8 contender but then again I'm a homer who predicted we'd go to the Final 4 last year.
