Since you are so good at predicting the future, then I can only imagine that you knew all along that he would average 30 points a game in college against the Big 12 (as a freshman), but that his game wouldn't translate to the NBA, right? Did you think Kevin Martin of Zanesville Ohio would ever average twenty points a game in the NBA while 6-7, 185?
The leading scorer in the NBA is Carmelo Anthony. He averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds a game in his "super" season at Syracuse. And Garnett was even skinnier than Durant his first two years in the NBA. I'm just not convinced that you have any idea what you're talking about, sorry. Jalen Rose was a PG, for instance. Even if Durant reminds you of Rose, his role isn't even similar to Jalen's.
For the record, I think Oden is still a better professional pick. He'll be consistent and his teams will win. I don't know if Durant makes you a winner...but he will put up lots of points and stats, and he will sell lots of jerseys, which is something.
