OSU will be ready for it. I actually like that we play a team we played earlier. UT still doesn't have an answer for Oden.

I won't be missing the game but I'll be feeling pretty rough at work on Friday. I have to wait until 9:57 to see the Bucks. I guess that means I'll just have to drink a little later than I anticipated.

the press was a problem until matta brought up oden to relieve pressure facing the press. other teams later did the same while facing the vols, so they have adapted somewhat to that maneuver.
conley and butler must do a much better job handling the ball. it was by far their worst game in this regard. they had a combined 9 turnovers to their 4 assists. also, the team cannot count on tennessee having another terrible game from behind the arc. lofton, smith, and chism were 5-of-24 (lofton: 3-of-11) from the three.
as i see tennessee shooting better from the arc and ohio state faring better against the press, i think this game is a toss-up. also, this game is, of course, not at home. there will be no crowd advantage this time.

Senior saves Buckeyes, 'other' freshman ices it

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Ohio State might have had its Tyus Edney moment Saturday in Rupp Arena -- a second-round great escape on the way to something truly special.
If so, then Ron Lewis' season-saving shot is destined to be woven into the March Madness montage for years to come. Or the Buckeyes' romance-robbing, 78-71 overtime ousting of Xavier might have exposed enough flaws to indicate that this isn't a national championship team after all.
Only the following game(s) will tell us for sure.
This much we do know: Nobody was getting out of this frantic second-round Saturday with any margin for error. So on this delicious day, the only thing that matters is that the lucky Bucks advance.

Buckeyes to face Tennessee in Sweet 16
Staff Reports
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) ? Now the whole state of Tennessee can paint itself orange.
JaJuan Smith led a second-half comeback, Chris Lofton made one free throw after another in the final seconds and the Volunteers held off Virginia 77-74 Sunday in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Fifth-seeded Tennessee (24-10) reached the round of 16 for the first time since 2000 under second-year coach Bruce Pearl, who painted himself orange before a Lady Vols? game last month to show his spirit.
Pearl did some of his best coaching on Sunday, bringing down a Virginia team that couldn?t get one more shot out of its fabulous guard tandem at the end.
