Perimeter Defense
My buddy and I were talking about how well teams shot from behind the arc against tOSU during the tourney and I decided to do a little research. This isn't a knock against the Bucks, but it definitely raises a question. The first number is what they shot from 3 against us, and the second is the season average.
CCSU .385 .381
X .348 .390
TEN .516 .365
MEM .455 .351
GT .333 .370
FLA .556 .404
Notice that 3 teams shot over 10% better against us than they did on the season. Maybe it's just bad luck. Like I said above I'm not offering an opinion either way, just presenting the stats.

It has been this way all season...I would love to have an answer for this and at times, teams are getting open looks, but you expect open looks every game for teams, but it is when they are knocking them down coming off screens with hands in their faces that just make you think eventually what goes around will come around...

I am very aware that our perimeter D has been suspect all season. I think during this tourney though a lot of it was just bad luck.

I am agreeing with you here, not disagreeing...

If I were the coach I would have started Harris, being 6'7 on Humpries, shifted Hunter into the starting lineup to guard Horford and taken Butler out of the lineup.
EDit: To guard Horford, not Brewer.

Hunter struggled down low with Horford's size (huge back downs). Butler had an unusually off game defensively, and I don't think Donovan thought Butler would lose track of Lee that often. As for assigning a Humphrey shadow, I think Lighty would have been a good option.

Butler, theoretically, is our best on-ball defender.
Theoretically.
