the thing is if the game is called tight and done so in a consistent manner. the game will adjust. not even over years, seasons, months. if called consistently it will adjust by the under 16 time out.
it used to be the tournament was a rugged thing, beatings, hackings, hangings etc. this year not so much...

Maybe a lot of fouls were being called because the players were committing a lot of fouls? Wow, what an amazing concept.
Why should the refs change because the players on the floor cant follow simple rules? As long as it's consistent for both teams...

Didn't seem consistent to me for the Tourney or the reg. season.

I didn't see anything consistent about the fouls called against & for Oden on monday night. He got away with quite a bit in the second half, while UF was whistled for simple arm checks.
In earlier games, players were allowed to hang all over Greg, while ticky tack fouls sent him to the bench. He was not blameless in his foul trouble, but there was a definite lack of consistency.
