Thursday, December 20, 2007 3:18 AM
Associated Press
No. 2 Memphis 79, Cincinnati 69 -- Freshman guard Derrick Rose scored a career-high 26 points last night, steadying Memphis against host Cincinnati.
Memphis improved to 9-0 for the first time since 1985-86, when the Tigers won their first 20 games, a school record. This one didn't come easily.

No. 1 North Carolina 88, Nicholls State 78 -- Tyler Hansbrough scored 27 points and showed no ill effects from a weekend concussion in helping North Carolina (10-0) beat Nicholls State (4-8) in Chapel Hill, N.C.
