I am telling you guys to watch out for that Illinois team...
Maryland is not that much better than them, and it will be a help to have that game at home for Maryland there is no reason why Illinois can't dominate on the inside and win that game...

Wisconsin has the medicine for that Duke team. Marquette purely beat themselves by missing lightly contested bunnies and fumbling gimme in steal attempts in the Maui Classic. Plus the refs sold their souls to the Blue Devils again with a myriad of heinous calls against Duke's opponent. They'll have an even more noticable referee advantage at Cameron Indoor, but the Badgers are the opposite of Marquette in that they give little fodder for referee discretion, as a result of Bo Ryan's fanatical emphasis on refraining from fouling. The Badgers should get similar penetration as the Marquette guards with Hughes and Flowers, but if they are unfortunate to miss, the Badgers have the twin towers (Butch and Stiemsma) to clean up on the boards. Marquette didn't nearly have the size to exploit the Dukies' weakness inside. You can also dump the ball down to Butch at least. Defensively, Hughes and Flowers are going to hound Paulus. They should be resigned to shooting contested outside jumpers if the Badgers bring the defensive intensity. Duke is a pretty good team (albeit overrated again), and it's always tough to silence the Cameron Crazies, but the Badgers have the medicine. It at least should be an extremely competitive game, where Wisconsin will represent the Big Ten with pride.

These are my feelings as well...It will be just be tough being there...I really think that Nelson is a steady player for Dook, and might present trouble for Wisky if he is able to get into the lane like he was doing tonight and finding open shooters...Dook can shoot the ball, and if they get fouled they will goto the line and knock it down...
Since you hit on the fouls that Dook was getting and what not, this Dook team flops more than Vlade Divac did back in his days...I wish that they would start calling fouls for flopping, the refs at times held off on calling anything, but it was causing Marquette to miss bunnies when guys would slide in there and then fall to where teh guy woudl be coming down...I think SIngler faked about 10 charges just by himself, and I only caught about 20 solid minutes of the game as the buckeyes were playing...

I forgot about Nelson. He's a beast and my biggest concern for the Badgers as well. I'd imagine Krabbenhoft or Landry will get the assignment. Wisconsin is filled with 1's, 2's, 4's, and 5's; but void of any true wings really. The aforementioned players are more 3/4's. Flowers is kind of an undersized 1/2. Nelson can take taller players with quickness, and get enough of a step on smaller players to use his strength and seal them. He'll be a matchup problem for anybody.
No doubt on the flopping. Singler was the most heinous culprit in my observation as well. One of his performances was especially appalling.....anticipating falling when a Marquette player was able to halt his momentum comfortably. He's not McRoberts overhyped hardly, he has some skills, but he didn't belong in the class with: Gordon, Beasley, Love, Mayo, et al.
