Wow, top 25 nationally as a freshman.
He sounds like a future straight to the NBA type if he keeps developing.
it is nice to get an early, early commitment.. maybe it will help with some others too.

Wow, a Freshman in HIGHSCHOOL! sounds like his life dream to play for the bucks.
Anyone seen this guy play and/or have a compairison to another player? Sounds like he has a very developed body for his age at 6'10" 220...

ok, who on this board is going to take on the responsibility of figuring out who the top middle school players are... we need to stay one step ahead of the coaches...
A top 25 nationally in his class is great... granted a lot can change in three years... seems Matta gets the attention of the top recruits, might not get them all but has folks at least looking at the Bucks... With time, I think Matta could do wonders for the program...

Whether we ever see this kid or not this announcement really pumps me up.
I love Obie, but to see names like Cook, Lighty, and now this kid bouncing around is something we haven't seen since Williams was here.

This commitment will garner serious looks from other young talent. Not to mention he will be selling OSU to anyone who will listen for the next few years at camp. I think he comes because of his dying step-fathers dream. He sounds really committed to it, didn't want to even visit other schools. Hopefully he feels the need to refine his game at the college level if the NBA comes calling.

You gotta love a kid who honors his values and has his head on straight. I can't say that as a high school freshman, that I would be that collected and mature. In fact, I can assure you I wasn't. In fact, I'm 33 and its still questionable.
Welcome aboard, BJ. I'll submit my request for season tickets now.

I think its great that theOSU signed a top player BUT it is a sad day when there is this type of pressure on a 14 yrold kid !! Some 14yrolds havent even hit puberty yet! Its not only theOSU fault here, dont get me wrong, its just the state of affairs in sports today. By getting this Frosh it means that they must have gone to see him play in JR HIGH!!! If I was a parent I'd keep the bastards away at least until the kid is a soph or jr. Let the kids be kids, they only get one chance in life.
