Opponent Discussion Forums
Would it be possible to compile a list of the best discussion board for each of the teams we face next year, as well as other important teams? How many teams have great boards like this, for example, that are unaffiliated with networks?
Even just throwing posts in this thread could help start a list. . . Thanks. Last edited by kinch; 02-17-2005 at 04:00 PM. |

I'd guess either the Scout or Rivals network have the most active sites, but you can find an occasional gem like 0-state.com.
Some teams just do not have have the same following...Minny is a perfect example. Their Rivals board is slow but it is extremely busy compared to their Scout board. |

Thanks grad.
Oh well, a fairly recent post about that o-state.com board and the hope that, due to how dead some sites are, there must be someplace else, got my hopes up. Nevermind then. Go ahead and delete this useless thread. ![]() |

it might be a good idea to get a list of all the boards for the teams we will be playing this year. one thing i like about wearesc.com is the dropdown list they have of all Pac-10 message boards.

Michigan has at least four active sites, in order of popularity:
Michigan State's most popular board is the Red Cedar Message Board. Their Rivals and Scout sites get reasonable traffic as well. |

The WildWest Board is sometimes fun to read, but you can only believe about 10% of what you read there |

Humm, I did this almost a year ago. Just wanted to start a link repository for use on BP. Kinda lost track of it.
http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=1216 Still need to add the Independent Boards, but this would be a good starting point for a "Links" thread to cover ALL aspects of sporting life. Isn't there a Smitty's Sports Links web page? Anyone have that link available. I know it lists quite a few independant boards. There is also a Husker page that lists all the independant pages. Anyone? Google? Anyone? |

Here is a good independant board for BGSU
http://www.ay-ziggy-zoomba.com/ This site seems to have a decent list of what looks to be independent sites. http://www.topsitelists.com/bestsite.../topsites.html |

As far as Texas boards go, http://www.hornfans.com has the most traffic. Something like 30,000 registered users.
Avoid the UT rivals site. Mostly just a bunch of smack talk between various schools. Very little actual football discussion. www.burntorangefanzone.com is a pretty good site. Not nearly the traffic that hornfans has, but lots of good information, and it's kind of a different "culture" (for lack of a better term) than hornfans. You have to register to browse the threads though. But either of those sites has plenty of talk about our game coming up already. |

I like that Hornfans board. The best thing I read all day from a Texas fan with 2500+ posts:
