Braylon Edwards also did 23 reps, which is surprisingly strong for a speed/glide type receiver. Owens' total doesn't surprise me much...he's almost a fireplug in build, and breaks a [censored]load of tackles (when the tacklers can touch him). I think Owens will be the top return man drafted.

Ohio State senior kicker MIKE NUGENT was the most consistent of the placekickers today in terms of accuracy and leg strength, although he started to struggle once he reached the 45 yard-line, as his final few kicks from beyond that distance were erractic.

Ohio State senior kicker MIKE NUGENT converted 12 of 15 field goal attempts, but all three of his misses came from beyond 40 yards.

Ohio State senior defensive lineman SIMON FRASER was 6054, 288 pounds today, and plans to perform a full workout at the Combine.

On day 4's report, there was this interesting tidbit:

The NFLPA meeting on Friday, included having Troy Vincent speak to the 334 prospects in attendance for the Combine. He went into detail about how perspective NFL rookies should try their best not to go into depth in terms of spending money, buying expensive cars or getting abundant lines of credit. When he solicited answers from the room, Michigan wide receiver BRAYLON EDWARDS said that he had purchased a Bentley, which is valued at $250,000 dollars, which drew a harsh and honest response from Vincent who pointed out how easy it is for young players to fall into the pitfalls of how they handle their off-the-field priorities.

Haha, exactly. He booms kicks from tOSU's 45 yardline, and is erratic but sometimes puts it thru the uprights of the opposite team's goalposts (65 yard kicks!). IMO, there has never been a more intimidating pre-game event than watching Nuge bomb those 60+ yarders over the heads of the other team's 30-40 yard FG tries.

goes to show how important the long snapper and holder really are. hopefully this doesn't hurt him any in the draft. i can't imagine anyone could doubt his ability to hit 50+.

Forgive me if this was already posted, I didn't see it anywhere. I just read TSN's run down on Nuge. The jist of it was that Nuge was very accurate but had a somewhat weak leg. I'm no expert on kicking mechanics but I thought that since he usually puts the ball out of the endzone on kickoffs and booms 50+ yard field goals all the time that he had a pretty strong leg. Am I wrong?

He may have not adjusted yet to NFL balls. In college, they let you use old, broken in balls for kicking. In the NFL, they use the same ball for everything, therefore it is not as easy to kick the ball.

they actually have "k" balls which are taken out of the box right before the game. the normal balls can be broken in.

dustin had a good combine 4.47 time is nothing to be ashamed of especially with the 43.5 veritcal. the 7 on 225 is concerning, but he should be fine.

7 reps of 225 for a DB is not horrible...often the skill positions will Rep at 185.

I am not aware that there is 185 reps. for the combine...I thought it was all 225.
